The role of emotional intelligence

As an experienced licensed Emotional Intelligence Consultant, I know the opportunities for success that Ei can bring to individuals and teams in all businesses, no matter what their size, experience or sector.

Did you know….

  • at least 70% of organisations say Emotional Intelligence (Ei) is more important than IQ
  • at least 75% of career derailments are due to Ei-related reasons
  • at least 70% of the reasons for losing clients are due to Ei-related reasons
  • at least 70% of any leadership role relies on Ei
  • at least 80% of customer service is related to Ei

Emotional intelligence is now widely recognised as being one of the most powerful predictors of leadership, management and business success.

Thanks to considerable advancements in the last 50 years, Ei can now be accurately measured and developed through advanced profiling tools for individuals and teams.

I also enhance the development opportunities of the profile outputs (via detailed bespoke reports) with follow-up coaching or mentoring or team development sessions (highly recommended), and these will substantially increase the effectiveness and on-going development and success of key people and teams within the organisation and of the whole organisation itself.

What is emotional intelligence?

In other words, someone who has high Ei will be very intrapersonally (within themselves) and interpersonally (between them and others) aware of how their thoughts and feelings influence their behaviour and how it impacts on others. Also, they will have greater understanding of the same in others.

Ei-based Profiling for Individuals, 360°, and Teams

Ever had that feeling that you have been put in a ‘box’?

If you have ever used, for example, profiling tools such as Myers-Briggs or Belbin, you may well have that feeling?

These tools, and many others like them, have their place but what they effectively do is take your responses to a questionnaire and then describe you according to the closest match they can achieve within the descriptions they have already prescribed within their own systems.

In other words, they put you in a ‘box’.

Utilising the latest developments in the field to measure the user’s Ei, the Ei profiling tools I use simply give you an accurate ‘picture’ of you (or the Team), from an Ei point of view, measured on 16 key Ei scales.

I then produce detailed bespoke reports on the profile outcomes, plus personalised/team development plans, delivered in a feedback coaching session, which is further supported by my award winning coaching, mentoring and development programmes.
